'The Ten Commandments' Getting A Remake '300' Style

20th Century Fox along with Peter Chernin has made an acquisition to retell the Biblical story of Moses in a 300 style. As Variety informs; the movie will start off with Moses' survival as an infant then the Egyptian royal family adopting him followed by his defiance of the Pharaoh and him delivering the Hebrews from enslavement.

Dylan Clark who recently moved from Universal Studios to become president of Chernin’s Fox-based film company will be producing alongside Chernin. The script will be written by both Adam Cooper and Bill Collage.

The story of Exodus will be told using the green screen strategy, which is the same strategy used in the movie 300. With this in mind, the movie will have a more 300 or Braveheart feeling to it as opposed to the 1956 classic film by Cecil B. DeMille titled The Ten Commandments.

More after the break...

The movie is said to include the popular events described in the Book of Exodus such as the plagues and parting of the Red Sea. This new Cooper and Collage version will also include new events of Moses’ life that the writers collected from Rabbinical Midrash and other historical sources.

WIll this 300 style remake of The Ten Commandments spur up anger amongst Christians? Drop us a comment and share with us your thoughts.
