'The Ten Commandments' Getting A Remake '300' Style

20th Century Fox along with Peter Chernin has made an acquisition to retell the Biblical story of Moses in a 300 style. As Variety informs; the movie will start off with Moses' survival as an infant then the Egyptian royal family adopting him followed by his defiance of the Pharaoh and him delivering the Hebrews from enslavement.

Dylan Clark who recently moved from Universal Studios to become president of Chernin’s Fox-based film company will be producing alongside Chernin. The script will be written by both Adam Cooper and Bill Collage.

The story of Exodus will be told using the green screen strategy, which is the same strategy used in the movie 300. With this in mind, the movie will have a more 300 or Braveheart feeling to it as opposed to the 1956 classic film by Cecil B. DeMille titled The Ten Commandments.

More after the break...

The movie is said to include the popular events described in the Book of Exodus such as the plagues and parting of the Red Sea. This new Cooper and Collage version will also include new events of Moses’ life that the writers collected from Rabbinical Midrash and other historical sources.

WIll this 300 style remake of The Ten Commandments spur up anger amongst Christians? Drop us a comment and share with us your thoughts.

'Iron Man 2' Set Footage

The set of Iron Man 2 was invaded by Entertainment Tonight over the summer. Thanks to ET we get to see a bit of the racetrack scene. It appears that in this scene is where Mickey Rourke makes his first appearance as Tony Stark's nemesis; Whiplash. It makes sense considering the fact the Rourke's first revealed picture as Whiplash was at a racetrack. We also see a bloody Robert Downey Jr. returning for his role as the iron superhero, along with Pepper and Black Widow. Enjoy the video after the break.

Both 'Tron: Legacy' and 'Spider-Man 4' Headed to IMAX

Two highly anticipated films have been confirmed to have IMAX releases. According to The Hollywood Reporter Disney's Tron: Legacy will get the IMAX treatment even though it was not shot with IMAX cameras. Disney will have to digitally remaster the film to expand it into a super-sized version apt for IMAX screens. The release date for this movie will be on December 17, 2010. Tron: Legacy will be the third out of the five Disney IMAX movies in a deal between the two aforementioned companies.

As far as Spider-Man 4 goes, it has also confirmed to have an IMAX release in place for May 6, 2011. This comes as no surprise hence the first three Spidey films also got the IMAX treatment.

So get ready to pre-order those IMAX tickets as one question remains; will Ton: Legacy look any good on an IMAX screen by simply getting a digital remaster? I think this film should of been filmed with IMAX cameras.

In recent interviews Megan Fox has compared Michael Bay "Transformers director" to Hitler, and Napoleon, the dumb bitch goes on to say that he is a nightmare to work for! Megan don't bite the hand that feeds you!!!!!

So now three Transformers crew members have written an open letter to Bay's fans that completely trashes Megan!!!

This is an open letter to all Michael Bay fans. We are three crew members that have worked with Michael for the past ten years. Last week we read the terrible article with inflammatory, truly trashing quotes by the Ms. Fox about Michael Bay. This letter is to set a few things straight.

Yes, Megan has great eyes, a tight stomach we spray with glycerin, and an awful silly Marilyn Monroe tattoo plastered on her arm that we cover up to keep the moms happy.

Michael found this shy, inexperienced girl, plucked her out of total obscurity thus giving her the biggest shot of any young actresses' life. He told everyone around to just trust him on his choice. He granted her the starring role in Transformers, a franchise that forever changed her life; she became one of the most googled and oogled women on earth. She was famous! She was the next Angelina Jolie, hooray! Wait a minute, two of us worked with Angelina – second thought – she’s no Angelina. You see, Angelia is a professional.

We know this quite intimately because we’ve had the tedious experience of working with the dumb-as-a-rock Megan Fox on both Transformers movies. We've spent a total of 12 months on set making these two movies.

We are in different departments; we can’t give our names because sadly doing so in Hollywood could lead to being banished from future Paramount work. One of us touches Megan’s panties, the other has the often shitty job of pulling Ms. Sourpants out of her trailer, while another is near the Panaflex camera that helps to memorialize the valley girl on film.

Megan has the press fooled. When we read those magazines we wish we worked with that woman. Megan knows how to work her smile for the press. Those writers should try being on set for two movies, sadly she never smiles. The cast, crew and director make Transformers a really fun and energetic set. We’ve traveled around the world together, so we have never understood why Megan was always such the grump of the set?

When facing the press, Megan is the queen of talking trailer trash and posing like a porn star. And yes we’ve had the unbearable time of watching her try to act on set, and yes, it's very cringe-able. So maybe, being a porn star in the future might be a good career option. But make-up beware, she has a paragraph tattooed to her backside (probably due her rotten childhood) — easily another 45 minutes in the chair!

So when the three of us caught wind of Ms Fox, pontificating yet again in some publication (like she actually has something interesting to say) blabbing her trash mouth about a director whom we three have grown to really like. She compared working with Michael, to “working with Hitler”. We actually don’t think she knows who Hitler is by the way. But we wondered how she doesn’t realize what a disgusting, fully uneducated comment this was? Well, here let’s get some facts straight.

Say what you want about Michael – yes at times he can be hard, but he's also fun, and he challenges everyone for a reason – he simply wants people to bring their ‘A’ game. He comes very prepared, knows exactly what he wants, involves the crew and expects everyone to follow through with his or her best, and that includes the actors. He’s one of the hardest working directors out there.

He gets the best from his crews, many of whom have worked with him for 15 years. And yes, he’s loyal, one of the few directors we’ve encountered who lowered his fee by millions to keep Transformers in the United States and California, so he could work with his own crew.

Megan says that Transformers was an unsafe set? Come on Megan, we know it is a bit more strenuous then the playground at the trailer park, but you don’t insult one of the very best stunt and physical effects teams in the business! Not one person got hurt!

And who is the real Megan Fox? She is very different than the academy nominee and winning actors we’ve all worked around. She’s as about ungracious a person as you can ever fathom. She shows little interest in the crew members around her. We work to make her look good in every way, but she's absolutely never appreciative of anyone’s hard work. Never a thank you. All the crewmembers have stopped saying hi to Ms. Princess because she never says hello back. It gets tiring. Many think she just really hates the process of being an actress.

Megan has been late to the sets many times. She goes through the motions that make her exude this sense of misery. We’ve heard the A.D’s piped over the radio that Megan won’t walk from her trailer until John Turturro walks first! John’s done seventy-five movies and she’s made two!

Never expect Megan to attend any of the 15 or so crew parties like all the other actors have. And then there's the classless night she blew off The Royal Prince of Jordan who made a special dinner for all the actors. She doesn’t know that one of the grips' daughters wanted to visit their daddy’s work to meet Megan, but he wouldn’t let them come because he told them “she is not nice."

The press certainly doesn’t know her most famous line. On our first day in Egypt, the Egyptian government wouldn’t let us shoot because of a permit problem as the actors got ready in make up at the Four Seasons Hotel. Michael tried to make the best of it; he wanted to take the cast and crew on a private tour of the famous Giza pyramids. God hold us witness, Megan said, "I can’t believe Michael is fucking forcing us to go to the fucking pyramids!" I guess this is the “Hitler guy” she is referring to.

So this is the Megan Fox you don’t get to see. Maybe she will learn, but we figure if she can sling insults, then she can take them too. Megan really is a thankless, classless, graceless, and shall we say unfriendly bitch. It's sad how fame can twist people, and even sadder that young girls look up to her. If only they knew who they're really looking up to.

But ‘fame’ is fleeting. We, being behind the scenes, seen em’ come and go. Hopefully Michael will have Megatron squish her character in the first ten minutes of Transformers 3. We can tell you that will make the crew happy!

-Loyal Transformers Crew

Warner Bros. and Mattel Split on He-Man

Mattel and Warner Bros. have parted ways on the making of He-Man. Hope is not to be lost here as Variety announced that Mattel will go shopping for other studios. John Stevenson should remain on board as the director but, producer Joel Silver won't continue on board. Silver who has been developing He-Man since 2007 is exclusive to Warner Bros.

Even after Warner Bros. brought in Evan Daugherty to rewrite Justin Marks' script, both the studio and Mattel didn't seem to agree. What they both did ended up agreeing on was taking their own separate ways...

This does not mean that the aforementioned won't be talking anymore. In fact, they both will continue to work on the Hot Wheels movie. Yes you read correctly, a Hot Wheels movie is currently in development and Silver is also in the mix as producer.

I really have to disagree with Warner Bros. and Mattel for dropping He-Man instead of Hot Wheels. Let's be honest here. A movie based on a line of little cars does not seem promising at all. If anyone over at Mattel or the WB is reading this, I say, drop Hot Wheels and carry on with He-Man.

Warner Bros. Takes Over DC Comics

Disney took over Marvel not that long ago and now it seems that both Warner Bros. and DC Comics followed in on their footsteps. As Deadline Hollywood reported, Warner Bros. is taking over DC Comics while changing its name to DC Entertainment. Truth be told both companies had been working on this for quite a while now.

DC Comics' president Paul Levitz will be stepping down as Diane Nelson takes his spot. Nelson is the woman who helped Harry Potter become such a worldwide phenomenon. Levitz will continue to be on the paper and panel side in an editorial and creative capacity. As for movies like Wonder Woman, The Flash, Superman, and Justice League, Warner Bros' Jeff Robinov is determined to have them materialize as soon as possible.

DC Entertainment will most likely become an actual rival to Marvel Entertainment. This has a lot of potential and we should be hearing/seeing more out if this deal soon, perhaps Wonder Woman?

'Bad Boys' is Getting Another Installment

First came Bad Boys, then came Bad Boys II but, a trilogy needs 3, so now we will get Bad Boys III. The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Columbia Pictures has now hired Peter Craig to pen the next sequel.

As of now Will Smith, Martin Lawrence, Jerry Bruckheimer, and Michael Bay are not due to return but, Columbia is hoping that a strong story will bring them all back. The good news is that the aforementioned have been known to have the will to come back if a good story gets made. The bad news is that the high salaries of both Smith and Lawrence might become a hurdle.

The first Bad Boys was released in 1995 grossing $66 million domestically and $141 million worldwide. This film helped Bay launch as a director and Smith as an action star. The second pulled in $138 million domestically and $273 million worldwide when released in 2003.

So what do you say? Are you all ready for one more Baytastic film, that includes many, many explosions with more explosions within explosions?

BREAKING: Disney Bought Marvel Entertainment, Inc.

I would of never thought this would happen, not even in my craziest wildest dreams but, now we know that the Walt Disney Company has bought Marvel Entertainment, Inc. The news has come from a Disney press release over at MarketWatch. With this new deal Disney will acquire Marvel's more than 5,000 characters, while Marvel will gain Disney's massive marketing infrastructure. Disney will shell out the big amount of $4 billion to make Marvel a Walt Disney Company.

Robert A. Iger, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company said, "This transaction combines Marvel's strong global brand and world-renowned library of characters including Iron Man, Spider-Man, X-Men, Captain America, Fantastic Four and Thor with Disney's creative skills, unparalleled global portfolio of entertainment properties, and a business structure that maximizes the value of creative properties across multiple platforms and territories," followed by, "Ike Perlmutter and his team have done an impressive job of nurturing these properties and have created significant value. We are pleased to bring this talent and these great assets to Disney."

A big question here is, what will be the future of the upcoming Marvel films?

UPDATE: It appears that Disney won't be taking control over the upcoming Marvel films. Since these movies rights, such as, Spider-Man, Iron Man, The Avengers, and Thor are already in the hands of other studios. Disney does plan to eventually be the only Marvel film distributor.

UPDATE 2: Marvel and Pixar have already brainstormed some ideas and things went good. Should we take this to mean Pixar will be releasing a Marvel film soon?

According to The Hollywood Reporter , Columbia has signed writers Adam Fierro and Glen Mazzara to pen the sequel. Director Peter Berg will be returning as well along with Will Smith.

The plot is being kept secret for now but, Smith did give out some hints last winter when he mentioned that the Hancock universe is full of yet to be explored characters that will be met in the sequel.

We can expect the sequel to hit theaters sooner than the first which took more than twelve years, originally titled 'Tonight He Comes'.

Seeing how the first movie ended there are many possible paths the franchise can take, specially since Charlize Theron or Jason Bateman are not mentioned to be on board for this sequel.

Movie Review: 'District 9'

Opening in theaters today is District 9 but, yesterday I got the chance to watch a screening of the movie before its release. Before I continue, I must warn you guys that SPOILERS WILL FOLLOW. The movie is produced by Peter Jackson and written/directed by Neill Blomkamp.

As opposed to the movie's viral ads, this review can be read by both humans and non-humans.

The story follows a group of alien refugees in Johannesburg, South Africa in what is known as District 9, hence that's where the movie gets its name from. As humans become annoyed by the alien neighbors, known as "Prawns", they begin to riot trying to push the aliens out of our planet after 20 years. Contrary to this the governments don't want the aliens to leave because they want to use their technology and weapons.

Right off the bat in the beginning the movie focuses on educating the audience on what District 9 is along with other details on Multi-National United or MNU, which is a government agency. The movie progresses focusing on one person (Wikus van der Merwe) the most. Wikus is played by Sharlto Copley who does a terrific job in the film as he connects with the aliens and makes the audience cheer on the alien side...

The movie really manages to capture our attention as it takes us a bit deeper into the alien life and shows the audience that they too have feelings and thrive to survive. When the star of the movie teams up with a Prawn by the name of Christopher Johnson, the film is able to portray the aliens as almost human like in their own way.

Considering the movie is a low budget film it does great on the CGI front and does not give us fantasy like aliens or alien technology/weaponry. Instead we see weapons that, yes are more advanced than that of us humans but, look like a reasonable possibility. The weapons don't come in shinny bright colors, etc and, is what gives them that "real" factor.

All in all District 9 delivered on what it promised. It is indeed a new take on alien stories and gives the Sci-Fi scene something to be proud of. As for my rating on the film goes, I can say it deserves a 9 from a 1-10 scale, (10 being the highest) and no, my rating is not connected to the title in any way.

Considering the fact that director Neill Blomkamp made his feature directorial debut with District 9, I for one can't wait to see other films by him later down the road.

If you got to watch the movie already drop us a comment and let us know how much you liked it or maybe disliked it.

'Legion' Red Band Trailer

A red band trailer has been released for Legion over at MySpace, which requires you to input your date of birth before. Yes that means the trailer is for mature audiences only but, here at Grindhouse we bring you a YouTube version that wont require you to input age and loads a lot quicker --you can thank us later.

The trailer is packed with Angel fights, action, and of course a dose of blasphemy. It appears that the movie focuses on an Angel (Paul Bettany) that is trying to stop the Apocalypse (correct me if I'm wrong) and many Angels trying to bring forth the aforementioned. All this while the many Angels are trying to kill God's "second son" before birth.

As I mentioned above this trailer is for MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY! Follow us after the break to watch the long trailer...

J.J. Abrams Taking Stephen King's 'The Dark Tower' to the Big Screen?!

As it appears, J.J. Abrams and co-creator of Lost, Damon Lindelof have bought the rights to Stephen King's series of The Dark Tower for $19.00. For anyone familiar with the story you are aware that the number 19 has a lot of significance through out the series. According to Comic Book Movie Fansites, Lindelof told Lostpedia that they want to put this on hold until they finish with Lost, which should be this season.

“We’re just so focused on finishing ‘Lost’ that it’s really hard to think about anything else. The last thing we want to think about is how to adapt a seven book series of, you know, basically the writer who we admire the most and look up to most and has inspired our work the most, and do anything with that", Lindelof said as he continued on to say "I think that it’s such a daunting task. We have a pretty daunting task in front of us ourselves [with the end of 'Lost'].”

AMC was also recently told by Lindelof himself that he would like for the series to be on par with Peter Jackson's trilogy of The Lord of the Rings. What gives me high hopes for this film is the fact that they don't want to rush to it and take their time.

What are your thought on this? Will you be looking forward to this 7 book series to materialize in the form of films?

'Machete' Official Casting Revealed

First of all, allow me to apologize to anyone who might be annoyed by numerous posts on Robert Rodriguez's Machete . Truth be told, I am really looking forward to this movie (or was). Buried within a very long article from Variety lies the official casting for the aforementioned film. Most of the rumored actors and actresses turned out to be real. With this in mind some names were expected but, some really took me by surprise. As also mentioned in the very long article, the movie started production this week with Mr. Rodriguez co-directing with protege Ethan Maniquis.

The rumored Robert De Niro will indeed share the big screen with Danny Trejo but, this comes with a price (maybe a price too high) that translates into Lindsay Lohan also being part of the cast. Don't get me wrong I somehow still have hope that Lohan might shine in this film. The other announced cast members are Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Steven Seagal, Cheech Marin, Don Johnson and Jeff Fahey.

Is this casting announcement making you jump with joy or cry away your hopes for the movie? Drop us a comment.

'A L I E N' Prequel Has A Director

The Alien franchise is getting ready to add yet another film to its long dormant set of films. As Variety reported, this time around it will be a prequel to the original 1979 film. Ridley Scott directed such film and now he is ready to return as the director for his film's prequel. 20th Century Fox has hired Jon Spaihts to pen the movie and Mr. Scott to direct while Scott free will be in charge of producing. Catch a quick summary of the storyline after the jump.

Preceding the first installment of the Alien franchise, while the crew of a commercial towing ship is on its way back to Earth, they are sent in to check out a distress signal from a nearby planetoid. It's too late for the crew when they realize that the signal being generated by an empty ship was meant to be a warning.

With Ridley Scott being the director I'm sure many people will be looking forward to it. Leave us a message and share your thoughts.

Lindsay Lohan in 'Machete'?!

As the titles implies, Lindsay Lohan might end up in Rober Rodriguez's next film. If the news of this caused you to become disgusted, outraged or both, may I say you are NOT alone. Nothing personal against Lindsay but, I honestly feel like she lacks what a good actor/actress has, known as talent.

Enough with criticism and on with the news. Rodriguez confirmed to MTV at Comic Con that Danny Trejo will star as Machete and that Michelle Rodriguez is on-board for sure. What still remains to be seen is if Robert DeNiro will have a role since Rodriguez won't say if the rumor is true. What he did have to say was "Lindsay's cool, there's actually cool part in the movie for her if she takes it." So it seems Ms. Lohan might have been offered a role for Machete but, hasn't given an answer as of yet.

PG-13 Movie Rating Turns... 25!

It all started 25 years ago when Steven Spielberg served as executive producer for Gremlins and directed Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. These two movies sparked concern among parents who thought the Motion Picture Association of America's rating of PG was not appropriate for both movies. In those days the only existing ratings were G, PG, R, and X with X being changed to NC-17 in 1990. Logically the only other choice was the R rating, which also wasn't right for both movies.

Continue reading (celebrating) after the break.

As Spielberg himself said, he created a problem that he also supplied the solution to. He talked to Jack Valenti (president and founder of the MPAA) and suggested that a new rating be created. His suggested rating was PG-14 but, after Valenti consulted with theater owners and parents a decision was made and so marked the birth of... (drum roll) ...PG-13.

On a summer like this one over two decades ago we had Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom open on May 23, 1984 with Gremlins following two weeks later on June 8. This gave way to the very first PG-13 rated film titled Red Dawn, which opened that 10th of August. We certainly owe a lot to Spielberg and the two aforementioned films but, not as much as Hollywood who has really taken advantage of this over the years. As it stands now 10 of the 20 top films of 2008 are rated PG-13 as well as 12 out of the 20 top films of all time.

Movie Review: Orphan

Last night I attended the premiere of Orphan. With this said I must warn you that spoilers will follow so read on at your own discretion. I went in not expecting a lot from this film but, I was sure proven wrong. I was skeptic thinking "what can a little girl do that's so bad?" and that's where the unexpected twist comes into the picture. The movie does an overall good job at building up suspense and creating liked and memorable characters.

The movie starts off by showing the audience the reason why both Kate and John (parents) seek to adopt a child but, the movie doesn't take a break, it just continues to build up. Later through the movie the audience gets a more detailed explanation as to why the mother (Kate) lost their child in the beginning and why their young daughter can't speak and is almost completely deaf. By doing this the audience learned more about each character and in return people became attached to the characters.

As the movie progresses the audience learns more about the complicated person that Esther is. Esther being the orphan that Kate and John adopt from a local orphanage is brought into the house and that's when strange things start to happen. The film does very well at creating suspense (like I mentioned before) for every scene where Esther shows her true colors.

The climax of the movie is near the end which also reveals the big unexpected twist. We find out that Esther is not a 9-year-old girl but, a 30-year-old woman who has a rare dwarfism disease that gives her the young appearance. We also learn that she escaped from an insane institute. This twist is what makes the whole movie a bit more believable in my opinion.

This movie is not a horror film so anyone looking for that will be disappointed but, if suspense is your thing you will be in for a good treat.

If you watched the movie drop us a comment and share your ideas with us.

Orphan opens this Friday July 24, 2009.

DeNiro in 'Machete'?!

Yes, you read the title correctly but, this is just a rumor as of right now. Bloody Disgusting is reporting that the same source that tipped them off on the Alien and Predator reboots is behind this rumor. As you know those reboot rumors turned out to be true. Apparently Robert Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis have cast Michelle Rodriguez, Jonah Hill, and Robert DeNiro for the Grindhouse spin-off, Machete. If true then they will share the big screen with Danny Trejo. Now imagine Trejo with DeNiro together in Machete and tell me it doesn't sound great.

The movie will focus on an ex-Federale who goes by the name of Machete (Trejo). He is a man gifted to wield a blade. He goes into hiding as a day laborer who works for an organization with a state senator as head. He ends up getting double crossed by the corrupt Senator McLaughlin (DeNiro), which makes him take his vicious revenge.

Entertainment Tonight was the place that previewed the issue itself, where you get a first look at Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow. As far as the picture goes, I for one think that Johansson might be able to impress us with her role in this movie. Does anyone agree with me? Check out Black Widow as well as the rest of the pictures after the jump.

Universal is Bringing 'Fear Agent' to the Big Screen

Dark Horse's Fear Agent is currently in early development at Universal Studios. THR's Risky Biz Blog also states that the project is open to writers but, the possibility of the studio buying a spec owned by producer Jonathan Shestack to help with the project is there.

For those of you who don't know anything about Fear Agent (that was me until a few minutes ago) here's a rundown. The series was started by Rick Remender in 2005 as an Image Comics property but, then moved to Dark Horse the following year. The story focuses on a Texan who is one of the last "fear agents" (alien hunters) by the name of Heath Houston. He fights to protect our planet Earth, which is partly destroyed during the series. The thing is he does so while under the influence of whiskey.

So now that Universal and Dark Horse partnered since last year for an overall production and distribution pact, we should be seeing and hearing of more comic book movie adaptations.

Wolvorine is the 'Avon Man'?!

20th Century Fox has now acquired a comedy titled Avon Man, according to Variety. Hugh Jackman will be staring, while Hitch writer Kevin Bisch scripts the movie. Jackman himself will produce, alongside Seed Prods. partner John Palermo and Gary Foster from Krasnoff Foster Entertainment.

As for the story it goes as follows: A car dealership lays off men and one of them gets recruited to become an Avon salesman. The experience initially seems emasculating but, the man then starts to use his charm and good looks to gain the position of top seller. The salesman then sets out on the mission to save his financially troubled family and town. He does this by conscripting his buddies into the business of makeup in an attempt to win a regional contest.

It seems like Hugh Jackman wants to try his luck with comedies for a change but, will he be able to pull it off?

David and Courteney Join 'Scream' Sequel

As some of you may know Scream will be getting a fourth installment and according to E! Online both David Arquette and Courteney Cox have signed to return. They will be taking on their old roles again, Arquette as Dewy the cop and Cox as Gale the reporter.

Arquette is very happy and thus stated, "I fell in love with my wife on Scream, so the opportunity to bring [Dewey] back to life and for my wife to play that really bitchy character again, it's just going to be really fun, it's just great."

At the moment the script writer is Kevin Williamson and, Arquette himself hopes that Wes Craven returns as well as Neve Campbell. Williamson did recently mention that Campbell has turned down the offer to reprise the role of Sidney Prescott.

When asked about a new storyline, Arquette laughed and said he couldn't share that information.

'Star Wars' to Get the Remake Treatment?!

Now before you get mad and start throwing things at your computer take a deep breath. This so called "remake" is actually going to be fan made. Yes, this means you can sleep happy tonight knowing Star Wars is safe. Tech-geek Casey Pugh has come up with a project that will allow 472 fans of the Star Wars films to re-create a 15-second clip of Star Wars: A New Hope. He broke up the film into 15-second clips and each person will get to pick up three clips. Once that is done an individual or group can re-create the clips chosen however it is that they please. The re-created clips will then be sent to Pugh who will merge them into what will most likely be a hilarious film. All scenes have been taken but, there will be a way to get more people involved by the end of the week, so keep checking back with the websites.

Natalie Portman Comes to 'Thor'

As Cinematical reported, Natalie Portman has been cast to play who in the comics is Thor's first love, Jane Foster. Portman's character is a nurse in the comics who as I mentioned, later becomes the first love of our winged helmet super hero. It seems like her character will be updated and we have no idea what this means exactly, at least not for now. Kenneth Branaghis is the man in charge of directing with production beginning early next year. Chris Hemsworth will play Thor and Tom Hiddleston will be seen as the villain Loki.

The press release also came with the synopsis: Marvel Studios expands its film universe with a new type of super hero: "Thor." This epic adventure spans the Marvel Universe; from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is The Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans as punishment. Once here, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.

So what do you think of this casting?

Catch Thor in theaters May 20, 2011.

"WTF" Timberlake as the Green Lantern!

Along with director Martin Campbell and producers Donald De Line and Greg Berlanti, Warner's have been trying to decide on who would be playing the green lantern. and for some reason the three actors who they have in mind are Bradley Cooper, Ryan Reynolds and Justin Timberlake. my guess is that this whole thing is a publicity stunt to generate some press on this film, because there's no way there going to destroy there own movie even before they start to film by casting Justin Timberlake. they obvious choice would be probably be cooper seeing that the guy just made Warner a handful of money with "The Hangover". If it were up to me I choose none of them and leave it up to the fans to decide on different actors.

UPDATE:
Breaking news: Warner Bros. has chosen Ryan Reynolds as the man with the ring in green. This makes absolutely no sense, hence Reynolds is already synonymous with Deadpool. I don't know about you guys but, I'm not happy with this poor casting choice. Let us know about your outrage (or content) in the comments section.

'Spidey 4' Gets New Writer

As The Hollywood Reporter is saying, Gary Ross has been asked to rewrite for Spider-Man 4. Ross is the third high-profile writer to be brought into the project. He is third after both James Vanderbilt and David Lindsay-Abaire. Mr. Ross has already worked with Tobey Maguire in the films Seabiscuit and Pleasantville. He is now collaborating with Maguire on Toyko Suckerpunch. Will these three writers as a trio be able to handle the project now or is this really a bad sign? After Spider-Man 3, things can only get better right? As of now the next installment for the web shooter is set to be released on 2011.

'Thanksgiving' Confirmed?

Eli Roth recently had an exclusive over the phone interview with Cinematical. He claimed that while Thanksgiving isn't his next movie, it will be made. He had this to say, "That movie, the financing, the money is in a bank account, I mean, I could literally say I'm starting production tomorrow we'd start. It's 100 percent up to me, but I'm just working on the script with Jeff Rendell, the co-writer. Jeff's the one who in the trailer, he plays the Pilgrim, and we're just writing it. We're just figuring it out and we're just coming up with the kills and the characters."

Anyone who watched Grindhouse or the trailer knows that it all started as a fake movie trailer during Grindhouse. The trailer created a lot of buzz and became popular, which in return inspired director Eli Roth to take it from a fake trailer to a full movie. For now Roth is working on Endangered Species, a sci-fi movie that will carry a PG-13 rating in the likes of Cloverfield. He went into more details saying, "I want to be finished with Endangered, and then Jeff is supposed to come out to Los Angeles probably some time in August and we'll probably bang out the script, I'd like to shoot the movies back to back; that's the dream – in a perfect world I would shoot those two movies back to back, the way I shot Hostel II and the Grindhouse trailer."

Filming Thanksgiving after filming Endangered Species would be more of a reward for Roth as he described it saying, "Shoot Endangered Species, which is a very complicated and detail-oriented film where everything has to be very, very specific, and each scene is a ballbuster, and then it's like Thanksgiving is like the reward – like, we made it through, we got it done, we're all warmed up and loose and let's just bang out the most disgusting movie we can and not be precious with it. Just shoot and shoot and have a good time with it, but make it a real movie."

Thanksgiving was confirmed to get the full movie treatment by Mr. Roth himself, so I expect to hear more about it in the near future as well as his next movie Endangered Species.

To those who want to enjoy the Thanksgiving trailer worry no more because you're in luck. The trailer is below. (WARNING: THE FOLLOWING TRAILER CONTAINS NUDITY AND GRAPHIC VIOLENCE)

The Latest on 'District 9'

I don't know about you guys but, I think it's safe to say you agree with me when I say 'District 9' will be a good movie. We don't know this for a fact, hence we haven't gotten the chance to watch this promising movie but, the new trailer along with TV spots really do a great job at making us look forward to this film. Considering this is a low-budget film, I have to admit that what I have seen so far looks to be on par if not better than most of this years summer flicks. Yahoo Movies was first to post the new trailer, which we have for you below. This movie does seem to have some political themes in it all of which I'm sure you'll notice. As I mentioned earlier, TV spots have been released. Two of them to be precise. One features a PSA showing the aliens reproductive system, something that will be in the movie. The PSA TV spot does seem to be a lot like something out of 'Starship Troopers'.

The newest trailer and TV spots are below but, be warned the following is for humans only.

I'm sure you want to watch the video already and with no further interruption, 2010: It's a Disaster!!!

'Star Wars' TV Show Coming Soon?

Rumor has it, as Australia's Sci Fi TV is reporting, that George Lucas is moving forward to get a 'Star Wars' live action series up and running. Lucas had promised this would come and if the rumor speaks truth, the live action series will debut in 2010.

Another big part of the rumor is in fact that the project will be filmed in Australia and will come from high-quality writers in the Australian TV industry. Writers for 'Love My Way' and 'Secret Life of Us' have been approached by Lucas' lifelong producer Rick McCallum.

There is no word of any distributor yet and no title has been revealed either but, apparently this will take place between 'Star Wars: Episode III—Revenge of the Sith' and 'Star Wars: Episode IV—A New Hope'. With this said, there will be no major characters featured from the films.

'Jennifer's Body' Red-Banded Trailer

Megan Fox is hungry, hungry for horny teenage boys (and girls) that is. As you will get to see in this red-band trailer, Megan Fox will play (and star as) a demonic high school cheerleader who goes around killing boys. This trailer we have for you (courtesy of ShockTillYouDrop) is one made possible by director Karyn Kusama, screenwriter Cody Diablo and producer Jason Reitman. As all three of them explain, "Fox is putting a trailer of Jennifer's Body in front of Bruno this Friday. Great, right? Only problem is it's not our trailer. It's kind of a straight horror preview and while we're sure it'll appeal to many of you, we wanted to make sure you guys got to see our cut... Lets call it the "filmmaker's cut". We think it captures the comedy and scares of the horror films we grew up on - a kind of nostalgia for when horror films were fun. Can't wait to show you the whole film... In the meantime, here's the red band trailer we wanted our fans to see."

The "filmmaker's cut" trailer is below, enjoy!
